The Tang L DM-i is the plug-in hybrid version of BYD's new flagship SUV. In the city it drives as a pure electric car on its 35.6 kWh Blade battery; on long journeys the fifth-generation DM-i system adds a 1.5-litre turbo engine, so range anxiety disappears and refuelling takes minutes.
This is the 215 km 2WD LiDAR Flagship version: 200 kW front motor, 0–100 km/h in 7.9 s, DiPilot 300 driver assistance with roof LiDAR and NVIDIA Orin X, three rows of seats (2+3+2), 15.6-inch screen, head-up display and a 21-speaker audio system.
